Exciting Update: Land Under Contract for Pashupati Buddha Mandir and Community Center Project

Dear Community Members,

Namaste!

We are excited to share an important milestone in our journey toward establishing the Pashupati Buddha Mandir and Cultural Center.

After a thorough and months-long search process, our team identified a promising site: 15.29 acres at 7029 Cass Holt Road, Holly Springs. You can view the property here: Zillow Listing. This property meets key criteria in terms of location, zoning potential, and long-term suitability for our cultural and religious needs.

Our real estate and engineering teams visited the site twice, reviewed preliminary documents, and consulted with the Town of Holly Springs, which showed initial support for our proposed use of the land.

We have signed the purchase contract for the land, with a 90-day due diligence (DD) period. The DD period is critical to evaluate the property in depth and includes:

  • Soil testing and well/septic evaluation
  • Site feasibility review based on our future infrastructure and use-case requirements
  • Fundraising for the down payment and preparation for loan financing

This 90-day period is low-risk. If the property does not meet key criteria during evaluation, we can cancel the contract and receive a full refund of the deposit.

How You Can Help

To move forward successfully, we are seeking support in three key areas:

1. Interim Board of Directors

We will soon announce the formation of an interim Board of Directors to lead this project through its foundational phase. We are looking for seven (7) additional Board of Directors. If you’re interested in shaping the direction of this historic project, please email us at info@pbmnc.org by July 30.

2. Technical Review Team

If you have professional experience in real estate, land development, engineering, or construction, we welcome your participation in our due diligence working group. Your expertise will ensure a thorough and informed evaluation. Please reach out by July 30 to info@pbmnc.org.

3. Loan Guarantor Volunteers

As a new nonprofit without financial history or cash reserves, PBMNC will require qualified community members to co-sign the loan, even after we raise the down payment. If you are in a position to assist, please contact us at info@pbmnc.org by August 30.

Your Support Matters

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to establish a permanent spiritual and cultural home for our community in the Triangle area. Your time, skills, and financial support will make a meaningful impact in bringing this shared vision to life.

Thank you for your continued trust and engagement. We’ll keep you updated as the process moves forward.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Warm regards,
PBMNC Team
